mustang Appaloosa horsePeace for Pets would like to express our deep sadness at the senseless shootings of two horses in Canton Township, OH on Sunday, April 14, 2014. One of the horses who lost their lives in this shooting was a therapy horse for a girl with autism, and the other belonged to a 15 year old girl.

Thanks to a generous donation, we are offering a $1000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of this crime. Any information about the crime should be directed to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 330-430-3800, Ext. 0. Read more about the incident here.

A big thank you goes out to Dick Goddard of FOX8 News, who has matched our $1000 reward with the same amount of his own monies. We believe that the reward money is sufficient at this point, and are not looking to add to it. If you would like to contribute to a fund set up to assist the families, you can donate to Two Horses to be Remembered through any Key Bank or donate online here.

Thank you for your caring and concern.
