The Link Between Animal Abuse and Domestic Violence

An educational program which includes training for our future foster families and other Safe Haven volunteers is held annually.

Disaster Animal Relief

In 2013 we will begin a program to help get Stark County residents trained in animal disaster planning and to be emergency animal relief responders. Training will include:

• The Red Cross First Aid for Cats and Dogs;
• FEMA classes;
• The Humane Society of the United States’ three day Disaster Animal Response Training (DART) workshop.
